Residential help during the Pandemic

WE ARE OPEN!

It's business (mostly) as usual. We - and those we have already helped - deem our services essential as we are helping people to continue working from home and therefore doing our part to prevent further transmission of the Coronavirus.

For our contract customers, nothing has changed; we are still monitoring your networks and supporting you as needed. New business customers, click HERE

Further information:

  1. Contactless Curbside Drop-Off and Pick-Up

In support of the nation’s efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 we are changing how we check computers in for repair. We are closing our shop to visitors and instead conducting a Contactless Curbside Drop-Off and Pick-Up service. As much as we enjoy socialising and spending time with our customers at the front counter, we are changing our procedures for your safety and the safety of our employees. We feel for the time being that this is the best way to minimise exposure to our customers and ourselves.

We will take the device in at the door where you place it in a sanitised plastic box. All devices are then cleaned with antiviral solution before we work on them. After work is completed, the devices are cleaned again and placed back in a sanitised plastic box to isolate them, ready for your collection. Payment is taken by card via the telephone (or BACS), avoiding the need for contact.

  1. Remote Assistance Service

We have launched our TechTonic Remote Assistance service (Internet connection required) where we are able to connect to your computer via the Internet, diagnose and fix many problems without the need for an onsite visit. We will create a secure connection to your computer and do our best to troubleshoot the issue right before your eyes. Charges are £29 per session, up to 30 minutes.

Sometimes a problem just cannot be fixed remotely - the charge still stands but we will advise on the next step. Payment will be taken by card at the end of the session(s). Because of demand, we have to be strict on times, i.e. the session starts with the phone call so have your machine on and ready. It will also be helpful to have any related passwords available, as well.

  1. Online Pre-Booking Service

As our shop is closed, someone may not always be in attendance if you call at our door unannounced. You are able to access our booking system at www.techtonic.it/booking where you can provide details of your issue. One of our staff will then call you to organise dropping off your device. We will take the device in at the door where you can place it in a sanitised plastic box.

To protect our staff, all devices are then cleaned with antiviral solution before we work on them. After work is completed, the devices are cleaned again and placed back in a sanitised plastic box to isolate them, ready for your collection.

If you do not have Internet connectivity, please call us on 01451 497001 and leave a message. We will call you back, take your issue details, book you in and organise a convenient drop-off.

  1. Collect & Return Service

DURING THE OUTBREAK WE ARE PROVIDING A LOCAL COLLECT & RETURN SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY FOR ONLY £15

If you are self-isolating, unable or unwilling to venture out due to the pandemic, we are providing a local collect and return service so you can still get your devices repaired. In order to reduce travelling as much as possible, we are limiting this service to customers within a 10 mile radius of Bourton on the Water. If you wish to take advantage of this service, call us on 01451 497001. To reduce travelling further, we are combining adjacent areas so booking ahead is essential.

We will telephone you on our arrival where and you can put your computer in a sanitised plastic box that we will place outside your door. This will isolate your computer during transport to our workshop - and return. You must ensure you make yourself available at the prearranged times in order for us to collect and return your device. If we are unable to contact you a new slot will need to be booked - please note an unsuccessful appointment will still be chargeable, as will the second appointment. The charges do not wholly cover our time nor costs and we are providing this as a community service.
